How to build your own stable block
First pressure wash old cattle s.... off walls and floor for 6 hours!
Find a cheap brickie to build stable walls using 6 inch concrete blocks
Install partitions made from timber frames and weld mesh between stables
Build similar frame for rear wall after removal of old iron cattle feeder.
Fix chipboard to frame and let apprentice loose with spray gun
Finished product before horses mess it up !
One of the first projects, what was originally a cattle yard was transformed into
a block of 3 stables and a tack room. Was also my first real attempt at brick laying,
slight problem was the “bricks” were 6 inch concrete hollows which are rather heavy.
Laying at ground level not too difficult, laying at chest height less so.
